Hoi!
I'm Xinyang Li, a master's student in Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue University. I earned my bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Southeast University in China. My interests lie in computer graphics and educational VR, where I explore how immersive technology and advanced visuals enhance experiences and cognition.
My Story
When I first witnessed the depiction of the black hole Gargantua in the movie Interstellar, I was captivated. Despite the film’s production in 2014, the depiction was remarkably similar to the actual photograph captured in 2019. I was fascinated by how computer can derive an accurate image based on abstract theories. This observation sparked my interest in computer graphics, and in the subsequent explorations, it became clear that I wanted to visualize theoretical results and data, helping people better understand them, even discover hidden structure.
